GOALS

We were tasked with reimagining Windstar’s brand with a goal of increasing brand awareness and attracting new customers to reach occupancy and revenue targets for 2022 and beyond. The “Windstar Knows the Way” brand campaign aims to present the power of choice that Windstar guests have in how they sail, and it delivers the benefits of small ship cruising in ways that boldly claim a competitive advantage through bringing to life Windstar’s key brand pillars:

  • Cruising private yacht style –- leave the crowds and clichés behind on a private yacht style cruise serving only 148–-342 guests 
  • Get closer to new places and experiences –- their personalized and immersive approach brings you closer to each destination and ports that only Windstar can reach 
  • Build new and lasting connections –- enjoy a friendly, unpretentious and relaxed atmosphere while making lifelong connections with fellow travelers and crew 
  • Service from the heart –- enjoy thoughtful, personal and  genuine service from a crew that remembers the details that matter to you and make every voyage memorable. Windstar boasts an impressive 1:1.5 crew-to-guest ratio, where the crew prides themselves on knowing the preferences of each guest.
  • Locally inspired cuisines without reservations –- as the Official Cruise Line of the James Beard Foundation, enjoy culinary experiences using fresh, locally -sourced and inspired dishes created by some of the world’s best chefs.

BUDGET

With a total budget of $11M, the actual cost to date of our campaign is $6,533,334. In terms of ROI, Windstar has met or exceeded their net guest revenue booking goal for Q1–Q3 2022 and has achieved 93% of their total goal for the year.
